Successful four years of One Direction

                                                                                                                                                               
One Direction, we commonly know as 1D are an English- Irish pop teenagers boy band formed

in. 2010. 1D comprises five members as  Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan,  Liam Payne and Louise Tomlinson. They were the participants of the seventh series of the British television singing competition The X Factor in 2010. They signed with Simon Cowell's  records label Syco Record after finishing third in the competition. 1D's three album Up All Night (2010), Take Me Home (2012) and Midnight Memories (2013) broke the record and listed topped charts in most major markets.        

How I knew One Direction?

Two years ago in the summer vacation I was alone bored in my home surfing net. I was viewing top 100 list of youtube and found
1D in fifth position. What Makes You Beautiful was my first  and favorite song of One Direction that time. One Direction impressed me with their dress up and unique hair style. After that I googled 1D and listen more songs and interviews. Personally, it was fun to view their interviews.

Time always surprises me, those five lads with weird hair cuts and lean and thin body structure are now with unique hair style and tattooed body. I am still surprised, puzzled or whatever, is this really time which changes people or it's money??? Something Good About One Direction:

It's great that young teenagers get involved in charity and donation.
In 2011 the band performed on the "Children In Need 2011" broadcast, helping raise over 26 million pounds.
In September 2012, Niall Horan organized an event to raise money for Irish Autism Action and Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar based in his home town.
In 2013, band members Liam Payne and Harry Style partnered with Trekstock, a leading cancer charity in order to help raise money for cancer research.

During this four year period of One Direction, they have received many awards and nominations. They have been recipients of two BRIT Awards for Best British Single at the 2012 BRIT Awards, three NME awards, two Kids' Choice Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. They also won two American Music Awards and nominated for Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group.
Beside this, One Direction became the first band in the US Billboard 200's history to have their first three album debut at number one.
One Direction: This Is Us , is a 3D documentary and concert movie

about the group which was released on 30 August 2013. The film was box office success, topping the UK and US box office with the total grossing over $60 million worldwide.
